Mutembei Kariuki is the CEO & Co-founder of Fastagger, an AI start-up. He began his AI journey in 2019 after training in AI start-up building by faculty from the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Tokyo in Japan. A digital innovation ecosystems specialist, he was a Senior Advisor for German Development Cooperation with a focus on Tech Entrepreneurship in Emerging markets. Mutembei's work spans 5 continents, including Kenya, Austria, Brazil, India, The Philippines, the USA, and Japan. He holds degrees in Economics and Information Systems. Additionally, he was part of a social reality TV show called Imagine Afrika that took him to South Africa, Mozambique, and Rwanda. The show was broadcasted in over 40 countries as part of an African Media initiative to combat HIV/AIDS in Africa.
