Upon arriving at Ars Electronica, members of the BOLD community were greeted by the team. Maria Pfeifer, a key researcher for future narratives and an expert on art thinking, challenged our guests to harness their creativity and amplify the power of insightful questioning.

"Who owns the truth?" This provocative motto of the Ars Electronica Festival sparked a cascade of inquiries regarding ownership in various realms:

Who holds dominion over infrastructure? Nature? Knowledge? Technology? And ultimately, data?

Tailored especially for the BOLD Unconference 2023 attendees, the Ars Electronica Festival orchestrated an immersive tour, aiming to redefine their perceptions and emphasize the transformative power of asking the right questions.

As attendees geared up for a deep dive into the Festival's offerings, Hideaki Ogawa, Director of the Futurelab and a pioneer in art thinking research, shed light on Ars Electronica's history. Since its inception in 1979, this hub has explored the many facets of electronics, driven by the mission to democratize emerging technology.

Thus, the call to action was clear: "Forge your unique compass, and chart your own future." Emboldened by this, the BOLD minds embarked on their journey through the Ars Electronica Festival.
