What a kickoff to the BOLD Unconference 2023! Once the insights from Focus Area #1 were shared with the crowd, our hosts of the Austrian Economic Chamber took to the stage for closing remarks.

Amelie Groß, the Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, highlighted a persistent issue hampering the health care sector. Nurses and doctors spend too much time on bureaucracy. The call for innovation is loud and clear, and this is where our companies, both local and global, can step in.

Echoing her sentiments, Alexander Biach, the Deputy Director of the Vienna Economic Chamber, asserted that focusing exclusively on the already healthy isn't the answer. To stay healthy through a healthy lifestyle is just as important, and there is a great need to educate and motivate young people and the general population to do just that.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber then shifted the conversation towards the demands of an aging population. By 2023, Austria will see its highest population of individuals over 60 - a demographic shift that presents a unique challenge for our health sector.

Addressing this, as well as other areas of health care such as mental health, hinges on bolstering our digital infrastructure nationwide.
